Psychotherapy
My therapeutic style is integrative, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, and Solution‑Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT). I work collaboratively with clients to explore identity, values, life transitions (such as marriage, divorce, relocation, or retirement), parenting challenges, future direction, and executive functioning skills.
I incorporate elements of nature in a grounded, meaningful way—never as a gimmick, but as a way to support reflection, regulation, and connection. While sessions are client‑led, I’m an active participant: I ask thoughtful, sometimes challenging questions and encourage clients to dig deep, reflect honestly, and engage in the work of change. When it’s helpful and welcome, I offer between‑session practices or “homework” to support continued growth.
Therapy sessions can take place outside - either walking or sitting together in nature (currently in Brevard and Etowah), in my downtown Brevard office, or virtually. We can decide together which option best fits your needs and my availability.
“Wildness reminds us what it means to be human, what we are connected to rather than what we are separate from.”
— Terry Tempest Williams
