Why Nature-Inspired?

The short answer: Who doesn’t love trees?

The medium answer: People who don’t want to sit in a sterile office or in front of a computer might feel comfortable talking in nature.

The long answer: Have you ever stepped into the woods and immediately felt lighter? That’s not your imagination: it’s biology! Being in nature reduces cortisol (stress hormones), decreases anxiety and depression symptoms, and lowers blood pressure.

There are so many other benefits too… Relaxing scents, calming sounds, and physical activity improve mood, enhance cognitive focus, boost creativity, foster a sense of tranquility, and increase serotonin and dopamine (happiness hormones).

Being outdoors supports regulation, reduces sensory overload, and calms the nervous system. The rhythms of nature provide gentle anchors and grounding techniques. In this backdrop clients can more easily access emotional flexibility and mindfulness.

AND, outside of the numerous benefits we gain from time outdoors, nature also offers rich metaphors for growth, resilience, and change, helping clients see their own experiences reflected in the landscape around them.
